The Family Mediation Program (FMP) began as a pilot program in cooperation with Superior Judge David Bonfiglio in June, 2008. Mediation is provided for families who are working through issues of divorce and custody based on a cooperative parenting model. Mediation gives parents or guardians the chance to openly address concerns and issues with one another in the presence of a professional neutral party. The participants can construct an agreement that is livable, realistic and reflective of their mutual desire to protect and nurture their children. Mediation  provides the opportunity for parents to devise a framework to resolve logistical and emotional issues that adversely impact their children.
