About The Event
Conflict is challenging, it can impact productivity at work, relationships at home and in the community, and learning at school. At CCJ we focus on the impact that conflict has on relationships and ways of repairing those relationships and the harm caused by conflict. Whether we are a part of it or not, conflict is challenging. It happens at the grocery store, at work, with our parents and siblings, with our kids - we can't escape it. However, there are some skills that can be learned to help others navigate conflict in productive and creative ways so that relationships are mended, harms are reduced and problems are solved. The Center for Community Justice will be hosting a Basic Mediation Training soon, so be sure to sign up! You'll learn from CCJ mediators about the benefits of mediation, how mediation works to help people find common ground while resolving complex issues, the mediation process, and the necessary communication and conflict resolution skills it takes to be a mediator. Please join us to take your first step in being part of the solution!
