Do you ever wish you could connect with neighbors or colleagues who seem to be on another planet, but who live in your backyard? We long for a vital, welcoming, safe community. Yet, our world is divided and polarized. Suspicion and fear drive us apart, sometimes creating conflict that may erupt into violence.
Catalyst in Community
The Catalyst in Community program provides a safe place for participants to practice theskills necessary to break down barriers, allowing participants to listen, learn and grow. In eight two-hour sessions about a dozen diverse participants learn skills and practice them with one another.by talking about “hot” topics that are often avoided in social settings. One participant’s comment after 8 sessions: “The time flew by every session. I thought it would drag. I was afraid of the conflict. Instead, I went home energized and ready for more.”
